At Our Mother of Perpetual Help we are dedicated to moving forward into our future with compassion, generosity and an openness of spirit.  We believe that the nurturing of the community around the Eucharistic Table is extended through gatherings which further strengthen and support us.  We foster this faithfully through the power of the Holy Spirit and the gifts and talents of our members.  We continue to walk our journey together with the Lord, our future secure in the knowledge that we have common goals in God's ever-present love. Father Paul Chateau is our Pastor and leads our parish. 

Celebrate Holy Week at Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Dear Parish Family,

As the sacred season of Lent draws to a close, we prepare to embark on the most profound and holy journey of our liturgical year—Holy Week. This is a time to walk with our Lord through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection, and to reflect on the immense love He has for each of us. I invite you to join us in prayer, reflection, and celebration during this sacred time.

Our Holy Week services offer a beautiful opportunity to deepen our faith and draw closer to Christ. We begin with the celebration of Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Throughout the week, we will gather as a community and experience Tenebrae – a Service of Shadows where through scripture and music we will accompany Jesus solemnly and attentively through his last hours, remember the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, the Passion of our Lord on Good Friday, and the anticipation of His Resurrection on Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil. Finally, we will joyously celebrate the triumph of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

I encourage you to take this opportunity to renew your heart and spirit by participating in these sacred liturgies. Whether you have journeyed with us faithfully throughout Lent or are joining us anew, know that you are warmly welcome. Together, we can encounter the depth of God’s love and the promise of new life through Jesus Christ.

I look forward to celebrating with you during this holiest of weeks. May this season bring you peace, hope, and renewed faith.

April Family of Parishes Intention

from Our Lady of La Salette

For open minds and hearts: that we might see each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, one and equal in dignity – especially immigrants and victims of abuse, violence, deceit or poverty. We pray to the Lord.

 

In September 2025, our Family of Parishes wishes to begin producing a Family Picture Directory.

Pictures will be taken:

September 9-10 at Perpetual Help          

September 11-13 at Transfiguration

September 16-17 at La Salette

September 18-20 at Divine Providence

We will need several volunteers from each parish to:

Promote / Schedule / Assist on the day of photographs


There will be a planning meeting with the company representative in May 2025

Following the 4:30pm Vigil Mass

Menu includes a brat, a burger, or a 1/4 pound hot dog, bun, condiments, potato salad and other sides, dessert, and beverages.

Cost is $8 (choice of one meat - additional meat may be purchased)

Vigneron said the Archdiocese of Detroit will undergo a multi-year process of renewal in order to create "mission-ready Families of Parishes," ready to respond in faith to the challenges of modern evangelization, including a declining number of priests and a surplus of aging infrastructure.
